Delaware County, one town at a time

Every page below opens with the houses: the year, the type, what breaks. Then the money: what they sell for, the transfer tax on that side of the township line, and whether Homeownership First reaches there. The county page comes first.

The city

What a town page tells you

Three things, in this order. The houses first: whether the street is 1910 brick twins with a shared porch roof, 1950s brick ranches, or 1990s colonials on a cul-de-sac, and what tends to need work in each. Then the numbers: sale prices, the transfer tax on that side of the line (2% almost everywhere in Delco, 2.5% in Radnor, Upper Darby and Chester City, 3% in Upper Providence), and the school district's share of the tax bill. Last, the programs: Homeownership First puts up to $10,000 toward down payment and closing costs for buyers under its income limits, with counseling first, and Chester City, Haverford and Upper Darby sit outside it.

Havertown and Media are not on this site. Neither is Chadds Ford, which is half Chester County anyway. If your house is in one of those, call and say so; the lender who calls you back is licensed for the whole state.

About a minute. Say the town, the house and the number. We read it, and a licensed Pennsylvania lender calls you back, usually the same business day. Nothing here touches your credit. Rather talk? (484) 558-9670 works at any hour.

Read this before you type a phone number. Mortgage Delaware County, PA is a marketing and referral service; we are not a lender and we are not a broker. This form asks a licensed Pennsylvania mortgage lender to contact you about a home loan. It is not a loan application, nobody reviews your credit because of it, and it has no effect on your credit score. How this works.

The box you just ticked, in full: communications consent. What happens to what you typed: privacy policy and terms of use. Changed your mind later: privacy choices.
